Aylmer Vault House

AYLMER, QUEBEC
BACK

Picture

INFORMATION

Located in Aylmer, Québec, is a lot with two abandoned houses and a mysterious vault located below.

The brown house belonged to Thomas Mackerall and was built in 1903. It stayed in family until 1964. Then sold to Lawrence Brown.

The blue house is the Stymie cottage built in 1906 for a surgeon from Ottawa, Alfred j. Horsey. In the 1990' s it was moved onto a large concrete foundation it shares with the brown house....still no explanation for the vault located in the basement.
