INFORMATION

The Bonnechere caves was dissolved by acidic waters and was formed five hundred million years ago as a cave on the floor of a tropical sea. The cave's passages feature a collection of prehistoric fossils including a well-defined straight shelled cephalopod.

On the tour you will learn about the study of caves, fossils and the history of the site. You will enjoy squeezing through a few extra-narrow, damp passages.
