At Rideau Falls Park you’ll find an impressive view of the waterfalls that give the Park its name. The twin waterfalls mark the spot where the Ottawa River meets the Rideau River. The Park has several commemorations including the Mackenzie-Papineau Monument, the Commonwealth Air Force Memorialand the National Artillery Monument.
Rideau Falls Park is 2.89 hectares in size and a Confederation Boulevard landmark. In the 1800s the site was an industrial area powered by the waterfalls. Rideau Falls Park was developed after the Second World War when the area was acquired by the federal government and cleared of industry. Location ID #LS0004
