This rusted reservoir was found at the edge of Gatineau Park. No historical documentation was found.
We would like to say thank you to M. Dallaire who clarified the use of this reservoir. "This reservoir was part of a series of similar ones located at strategic areas in the park to fight forest fires. Basically, they were water storage tanks used by firemen to put out forest fires. They were abandoned when the NCC signed contracts with SOPFEU in Maniwaki, in order to use their professional services (air tankers; trained forest fighters) instead of regular park personel." written by M.
