INFORMATION

The abandoned Sweeney mine is located in Chelsea, Quebec within Gatineau Park. What remains of the Sweeney mine is a large pit that was drilled in the early 1900’s. Mica minerals can be seen embedded in the rock. The pit becomes flooded in spring.
