The Rideau Trail car dump is located within the NCC Monaghan Forest. This land was owned by two farms until bought by the NCC. The car dump that we found was probably a personal dump used by a local farmer. The dump consists of cars from the 1940’s, old oil cans, coke and Pepsi cans and a tone unknown junk. Sadly for collectors the cans and cars are rusted beyond recognition. This dump was an interesting window into Ottawa's past.
